Great location, friendly staff, early breakfast option, free WiFi, convenient to metro and airport.
Nothing to dislike.

great place to work late: quiet at night, near the square for a walk in the evening, within walking distance of attractions and tourist bus. For a work trip near the subway, good taxi service. Carrefour's 24-hour supermarket on the square is a great place to be when you arrive at night. There are plenty of good restaurants, two of which are close by: Italian Ginos on the square and La Caña behind the square, Café Café Café Panadería Panica closer to Moncloa, is open from 7 am and is good for early work. hotel is very comfortable and has everything you need. Excellent staff who come to help with all questions regarding taxis, Great staff, dinners and other matters. Laundry service is working very well.
It's a little embarrassing to have a little breakfast. In Spain, breakfast is traditionally a great choice and significant portions from hot to dessert. However, based on the cost of breakfast of 7 euros, breakfast is quite payable. In my opinion, breakfast can be expanded and increased for breakfast.

It was an excellent stay. room is very spacious, with a huge balcony overlooking the street. They wanted to stay inside instead of coming out! bed and very comfortable pillows, complete bathroom with toiletries. wardrobe was big enough for the suitcases to go in there. There was also a small desk with a chair and another bench to sit on. You could manage the heating from the room and you also had several lights in case you wanted to turn off some. hotel is in the Chamberí district, two blocks from the Calle del Fuencarral, leads directly to the Gran Vía. There are two Metro stations nearby, you can walk everywhere anyway. I did that. Without being in the center, it's in a very nice area and close to the center. I went there it was too quiet to sleep. I don't think I ever slept like that in any hotel, without noise.
There's nothing I didn't like. The only "inconvenience", which I put in quotation marks because I don't think it's important at all, is that the TV remote wasn't working to turn on and off. Clearly I didn't even bring it up at reception because I thought it was silly. It's all so spectacular in that hotel that it hasn't even bothered me.

This hotel is a hidden gem in the heart of a lively neighborhood. It offers excellent value for money, with reasonable prices that won't break the bank. The attention to detail in the rooms is commendable, with basic amenities provided and even a balcony to enjoy the charming views. The staff is friendly and accommodating, ensuring that your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. The location couldn't be better, situated under a delightful square where you'll find a variety of restaurants to satisfy your cravings. It's in a neighborhood that strikes the perfect balance of being interesting without being too touristy. With convenient access to public transport nearby, you can easily explore the rest of the city.
No improvements needed, everything was absolutely fine.

Very convenient location, if you do not need to live in the heart of the tourist crush: from the subway 3 minutes on foot, if you decide to walk to the center, it will take 15 minutes of quiet walk. As for me, this area of Madrid is much nicer than a boring center with a crowd of tourists. The hotel is right at the crossroads, it's very easy to find. The rooms are small but quite comfortable, there is a large balcony overlooking the green street, the rooms are quiet, you can't hear the neighbors.
Breakfast is too Spartan: cheese, sausage, bread, eggs, some baked goods, muesli and fruit, nothing hot, no variety day after day. With the given size of the hotel it was quite possible to think of a more interesting start of the day for guests.

Great location although I thought I’d paid for breakfast when booking only to be told i hadn’t the morning I went to the dining area.

A Gem in the Heart of the City
During my stay at Hotel Trafalgar, I was pleasantly surprised by the comfort and convenience it offered. The location was ideal, with easy access to shopping streets and a safe neighborhood. The staff members were excellent, as they quickly accommodated my request to switch to a quieter room away from the noise of the lift and stairs. The room itself was spotlessly clean, and the bathroom had a fresh and modern look. Although the walls were a bit thin, I found that requesting a higher-level room helped mitigate the noise from other guests. I had a great experience, and I highly recommend considering Hotel Trafalgar as a good-value option for your stay in Madrid.

I loved staying in this hotel. The location was perfect - not far from the most famous landmarks, and between 2 metro stations. The area was quiet, away from the tourist areas of this city, which was great for relaxation. The hotel facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the staff was friendly and helpful.
Nothing bad to say.

The toiletries provided were better than in some 5* hotels I have stayed in! I had forgotten to take a toothbrush and was available as part of the toiletries.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in the charming Chimberi district. The location was perfect for me, as it was in a decent locality with public transport available nearby. The hotel is situated under a delightful square where there are numerous restaurants to choose from. The staff were very friendly and helpful, ensuring that my needs were met throughout my stay. The rooms were clean and tidy, with basic amenities provided, including a balcony for enjoying the lovely weather. Additionally, the breakfast offered was a great way to start the day.
All was well, no complaints to mention.

The hotel has the feeling of a small european hotel, not a chain. My room was small but very clean and had a comfortable bed. The location was very good and in an interesting and safe neighborhood. I requested a non-smoking room and was given one. There were several good places to eat within the immediate vicinity of the hotel and a wide variety of interesting shops in the area as well. The hotel has a small cafe in the lower level. The food was fairly basic but good and reasonably priced. (Unfortunately a television set was on all the time and was quite distracting.)
The windows in my room were of frosted glass that you could not see through. Also when I opened the window it looked onto a brick wall. Had I known this in advance, I would have upgraded to a room on the front of the hotel. Also the information book found in the room stated that hot tea or coffee was available in the room upon request at no charge. I asked just for the hot water so I could make my own tea and the first morning a pot of hot water was delivered to my door, but no cup. The second morning they got it right. I got the feeling that my request was not something the staff was used to.
